Flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office, client sites, and working from home.

Role Overview
The UK Regional Trade Controls Lead holds a key position across all KBR’s UK businesses. Responsibilities include managing the UK Trade & Export Controls team, implementing trade compliance policies, engaging with US International Trade Controls Office, overseeing export licensing, compliance, and training, and liaising with government departments and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulations.
Responsibilities
* Ensure controlled technology, software, and products are exported with appropriate licenses and authorizations.
* Liaise with government departments to understand and expedite compliance requirements.
* Maintain and disseminate UK and EU export regulation updates.
* Oversee submission of export license applications, classification requests, and related documentation.
* Manage export requirements for traveling personnel and new technology applications.
* Prepare documentation for export license exceptions and classifications.
* Communicate record retention policies and assist business units with transaction compliance.
* Oversee US export authorizations relevant to UK programs.
Procedural & Approvals
* Ensure business processes incorporate trade controls requirements.
* Update compliance manuals regularly.
* Review and authorize new projects and business opportunities with export considerations.
* Assist in drafting export compliance provisions in contracts.
* Oversee due diligence screening and denied party checks.
Training & Audits
* Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs.
* Conduct UK government audits and monitor compliance with export procedures.
Customer Engagement & Culture
* Engage with customers and subcontractors to ensure supply chain compliance.
* Promote company values, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Person Specification
* Extensive knowledge of international trade, export controls, sanctions, and dual-use sectors.
* Deep understanding of UK & US export laws (ITAR, EAR, US Nuclear and Energy agencies).
* Experience in MoD processes and managing trade compliance programs.
* Strong relationships with government departments and trade bodies.
* Proficient in team management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Consultancy or professional services experience preferred.
Pre-employment screening and UK National Security Vetting clearance are required.
