About the Role:
This is a key leadership role within the organisation. Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll lead the Data & MI team and be responsible for developing and delivering a data strategy that supports operational excellence and long-term objectives.
You'll work across all areas of the business - including Finance, Marketing, Sales, Compliance, and the Board - to ensure data is effectively managed, governed, and used to enable informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and lead the organisation's data and MI strategy
2. Oversee data infrastructure, systems, and reporting frameworks
3. Promote data governance and ensure security, accuracy, and ethical use of data
4. Partner with internal teams to understand data needs and create tailored solutions
5. Use insights to support strategic planning, continuous improvement, and innovation
6. Nurture a culture of data literacy and evidence-based thinking across the business
7. Lead relationships with third-party system providers and technology partners
8. Provide data expertise to support M&A activity and strategic projects
What We're Looking For:
9. Strong experience leading teams and delivering data strategies in complex environments
10. A broad understanding of data practices including analytics, governance, and compliance
11. Experience working with data lakes, warehouses, and visualisation tools
12. Clear communicator who can translate data into actionable insights for a range of audiences
13. A collaborative and inclusive approach to leadership and relationship-building
14. Knowledge of financial services and relevant regulatory requirements (desirable)
