Location Overview:
Our London office is located near St. Paul’s Cathedral on King Edward Street, featuring modern workspaces, an auditorium, onsite restaurant, rooftop terrace, gym, and medical centre.
Responsibilities:
1. Present monthly valuation control results to senior stakeholders including FLU, Risk Managers, QSG.
2. Partner with Business Finance Control (BFC) to review and challenge valuation control results.
3. Liaise with Regulators and Auditors regarding valuation controls.
4. Ensure timely remediation of regulatory matters, audit findings, and reporting.
5. Maintain governance framework and protocols for valuation risk reporting.
6. Review and update valuation control policies and guidelines to meet regulatory requirements.
7. Develop governance, frameworks, and metrics for compliance with policies and regulations.
8. Improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy of valuation control across asset classes.
9. Collaborate with BFC and other groups to ensure a consistent valuation framework.
10. Build relationships with quantitative groups to ensure model governance.
11. Lead or contribute to projects improving valuation control frameworks.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Experience in valuation control, risk management, or product control within large financial institutions.
2. Knowledge of valuation control frameworks and processes.
3. Understanding of regulatory and reporting environment around Fair Value and Prudential Valuation.
4. Experience with regulatory and audit interactions, providing guidance on controls.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts.
6. Ability to work under tight deadlines and with limited supervision.
7. Willingness to learn and operate outside comfort zones.
8. Experience influencing senior stakeholders across functions.
9. Adaptability and prioritization skills.
10. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
