Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)

Monday to Friday, 40 or 45-hour contracts available
Starting salary: GBP 31,000 to GBP 40,500 depending on contact chosen

The company manufactures forklift trucks. As part of a local team, you will be responsible for scheduled maintenance and breakdown coverage on forklifts and related equipment in Essex. No overnight stays or extensive travel are required. Overtime is available mostly during weekdays.
The Service Engineer (Field) Role in Brief
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs on materials handling machinery
* Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the assigned geographical area
* Complete comprehensive training to become fully proficient with all machinery and equipment
* Spares are stocked in the van overnight
The Person Required
* Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural equipment, or similar. Automotive technicians/motor trade backgrounds are also suitable
* Engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills
* Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
