Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist ready to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading neurorehabilitation team with one of our clients in York, where you’ll provide specialist input, shape service development, and make a lasting difference to people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as an autonomous Speech and Language Therapist within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
* Assess and manage communication and swallowing difficulties in adults with neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries.
* Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation and management plans.
* Work collaboratively with individuals, families, and social networks to overcome communication barriers.
* Deliver staff and carer training to promote effective communication support.
* Manage complex dysphagia cases and ensure safe, evidence-based interventions.
* Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
About You
You’re an experienced and confident clinician with a passion for neurorehabilitation and person-centred care. You bring:
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* Registration with the HCPC.
* Achieved Dysphagia Competencies.
* Specialist knowledge of communication and swallowing management in acquired brain injury (ABI).
* Expertise in social communication, cognitive communication, and communication partner training.
* Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience, including complex case management.
* Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
