Quality Engineer / Inspector – Aerospace

Our client are seeking a Quality Engineer / Inspector to join their team and play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards for our aerospace customers. The Engineering department is at the forefront of this mission, and they are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to lead this team to new heights.
Long heritage + experience
decades of working with challenging engineering tasks and legacy systems.
Their capabilities include machining (turning, milling, grinding), non-destructive testing (NDT), heat treatment, pressure testing, special cleaning, etc. Having these special processes in house gives more control, shorter lead times, and quality consistency.
Legacy spares / reverse engineering
Lead the end-to-end compilation of FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports), ensuring compliance with AS9102 and customer-specific standards (e.g., Gather, verify, and manage documentation, inspection results, and material certifications.
Work closely with engineering, production, inspection, and suppliers to validate and improve quality processes.
Lead problem-solving investigations using 8D, 5 Whys and other quality tools.
Support internal and external audits, acting as the point of contact for customers and suppliers on quality matters.
Train and mentor colleagues on FAIR and quality best practices.
Apprenticeship or HNC in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline.
~ Solid knowledge of manufacturing and quality management systems .
~ 3+ years in a quality engineering role within the aerospace industry .
~ Understanding of airworthiness and regulatory approvals .
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 am – 16:00 pm
~ High Profile Aerospace projects
~ Overtime on Fridays from 12:30 pm to 16:00 pm paid at 1.Overtime readily available
~ Need to hold a British passport to get clearance on classified projects
