The Role – Plumber/Pipe Fitter
Working across sites in the North-West and Midlands, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance according to an agreed programme, budget, and quality standards.
Your duties will include:
* Carrying out planned installation and maintenance in plant rooms, schools, offices, and hospitals.
* Assisting subcontractors, monitoring repairs, and providing support as needed.
* Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical plant.
* Installing plant and components such as boilers, pumps, and valves.
* Installing pipework, including system isolation, repairs, and modifications.
* Carrying out repairs in communal areas, including radiators, valves, and pipework.
* Maintaining and repairing communal ventilation systems.
* Knowledge of cold-water booster systems, operation, and repair.
Our Requirements
* Valid CSCS card, NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Heating and Ventilation or Plumbing.
* Skills in plumbing and pipework, including copper and steel, with threading and mechanical pressing experience.
* Understanding of heating and hot water systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail, driven to succeed, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* A full UK driving license.
Additional qualifications such as domestic gas, IPAF, PASMA, Unvented & Vented (G3), and Water Regulations are advantageous but not essential.
The Package
* Salary up to £42,500 depending on experience.
* Working Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm (site-specific).
* Door-to-door travel paid at standard time.
* 33 days holiday including bank holidays plus your birthday off.
* Overtime paid at time and a half or double time.
* Permanent contract.
