From the Industry and Engineering division at LHH - Recruitment Solutions, we are looking for a Electromechanical Fitter for an expatriation project in the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland. Responsible for the mechanical installation, assembly, and fitting of High Voltage (HV) substation infrastructure and power generation equipment. This role requires a hybrid skillset combining heavy mechanical fitting, steel fabrication, and precise installation of electrical apparatus. Operational Key Responsibilities 1.Structural & Mechanical Installation Steelwork Erection: Fabrication, modification, and installation of steel supports, gantries, and structures for HV equipment. Cable Containment: Installation of heavy-duty cable trays, ladders, and trunking systems in accordance with site drawings. Earthing Systems: Installation of copper earth tapes, earth mats, and bonding of all metalwork to the main earth grid. 2.High Voltage Apparatus Installation Primary Equipment: Mechanical assembly, erection, and alignment of: Power Transformers HV Circuit Breakers (AIS/GIS) Isolators and Disconnectors Busbars (Rigid and Flexible) Precision Assembly: Torquing, tensioning, and levelling of equipment to strict manufacturer tolerances. 3.Power Generation Machinery (Specialist Duties) Installation and mechanical fitting of rotating electrical machines. Work involving Synchronous Condensers and Hydro Turbines. Alignment of shafts, bearings, and couplings. Essential Requirements Experience & Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of verifiable hands-on experience in HV substations or Power Generation plants. Technical Skills: Proven ability to read engineering drawings (CAD/Schematics) and P&ID diagrams. Mandatory Licensing Driving License: Must hold a valid Driver's License (Professional or Non-Professional) with a clean driving record. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is highly preferred.
