Anderson Knight is recruiting for a Client Onboarding & Matter Operations Analyst on behalf of a leading legal firm based in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation at the forefront of legal services, offering a professional and supportive working environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background and keen attention to detail, particularly in a professional services or finance setting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring efficient client and matter onboarding processes, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting compliance and risk controls. Working Hours: Typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible working available) Location: Edinburgh – Hybrid working (4 days in office, 1 from home) Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Key Responsibilities: • Manage the onboarding process for new clients and matters, ensuring accurate setup within internal systems. • Review and cleanse client and matter data to maintain consistency and data quality across the firm’s platforms. • Conduct conflict checks, escalating potential issues to senior stakeholders as needed. • Support ongoing compliance with client identification and risk procedures. • Ensure engagement letters are issued and retained where required. • Provide timely and professional administrative support across the finance and compliance teams. • Monitor client financial status and communicate relevant changes to the responsible partner. • Assist in tracking and reporting on client data issues and onboarding status. • Liaise with legal and support teams to ensure all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently. • Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism. Requirements: • Proven administrative experience, ideally within a legal, financial, or professional services environment. • Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines. • Competency with Microsoft Office applications and practice management systems. • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a flexible, can-do attitude. • Previous experience with compliance, onboarding, or conflict checking is advantageous.
