About the Role:
As a Catering Supervisor in Oxford, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of our client's catering operations. You'll be working 5 out of 7 days, with weekends off on a rotating basis, and will be responsible for a variety of tasks across both early and late shifts. You will also assist in supervising a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the service of food to students and staff.
* Assisting with food preparation, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
* Performing general kitchen duties, including cleaning, washing up, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
* Ensuring adherence to food hygiene and safety regulations.
* Managing stock and supplies as required.
* Assisting in the supervision and training of junior staff.
* Providing excellent customer service to all students, staff, and visitors.
* Working a variety of early and late shifts, including some weekend work on a rotational basis.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in a catering environment.
* Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
* A proactive and positive attitude.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including early and late shifts and some weekends.
* Experience in supervising or leading a small team is desirable.
* A Food Hygiene and Allergen Certificate (we can support you in obtaining this).
* A successful Enhanced DBS check (if you are on the DBS update service this is a bonus).
