Overview
A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We have a unique opportunity for a dedicated Team Lead to join the Women's Clinical Trials team and be at the forefront of cutting-edge research within the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre (CCTC). The post holder will work closely with the Senior Research Lead, investigators and the wider hospital support departments and associated multidisciplinary team to set up and deliver high quality clinical trials and CUH. They will lead a team recruiting and supporting patients into the Women’s oncology clinical trials portfolio, offering both complex therapies and translational research. They will line manage the Women’s team of research nurses, practitioners and data managers, providing leadership and management, and will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as commercial and academic trial sponsors. They will be proactively part of the wider CCTC management team supporting other team leads and being involved in projects across the department.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Women’s oncology clinical trials team (nurses, practitioners and data managers) to deliver high quality trials.
* Set up and deliver clinical trials in collaboration with the Senior Research Lead, investigators and support departments.
* Recruit and support patients into the trial portfolio, including complex therapies and translational research.
* Line manage and provide leadership and management to the Women’s team and work with internal and external stakeholders, including trial sponsors.
* Collaborate with the wider Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre management team on cross-team projects and initiatives.
