This setting in Hove provides a nurturing and inclusive early years environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop at their own pace. The school has strong SEN provision, supporting children with additional learning needs, behavioural challenges, and developmental delays. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child’s well-being, independence, and learning potential are fully supported.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to support learning and development across the EYFS. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality educational experiences, support individual learning needs, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
Responsibilities
* Support daily learning activities and classroom routines in the EYFS.
* Deliver 1:1 or small group interventions for children with additional needs.
* Assist with personal care, well-being, and safeguarding of pupils.
* Implement behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to monitor progress and adapt learning approaches.
* Maintain accurate records of observations, interventions, and achievements.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as an Early Years Practitioner, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
* Knowledge of EYFS curriculum, child development, and inclusive teaching practices.
* Ability to support children with SEN or additional learning needs.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
