We are delighted to be recruiting a passionate and driven Design and Technology Teacher to join a thriving and well‑resourced D&T department at a highly regarded secondary school in Guisborough. This role is ideal for both experienced practitioners and enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking a supportive and aspirational setting in which to grow professionally.
The successful candidate will deliver creative, engaging, and practical lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging innovation, problem‑solving, and independent thinking. Ability to teach one or more Design and Technology specialisms—such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, or Food Technology—would be highly advantageous.
* Plan and deliver inspiring, practical, and differentiated lessons across KS3–KS4, including GCSE
* Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement
* Contribute to the ongoing development of a high‑quality Design & Technology curriculum
* Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and workshop practice at all times
* Actively participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and wider school initiatives
* Support students’ academic success, creativity, and personal development
