The Role: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of bespoke products and components. You’ll play a key role in new product innovation, continuous improvement, and mentoring junior engineers, while working closely with manufacturing and production teams to bring concepts to life. Key Responsibilities: Lead the mechanical design of components and assemblies using 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks). Manage design projects from concept through to production, ensuring quality, cost, and timelines are met. Perform engineering calculations and stress analysis to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry standards. Liaise with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance. Generate detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation. Conduct design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team. About You: A degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Significant experience in mechanical design engineering, ideally within manufacturing or automotive sectors. Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks experience preferred). Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes (particularly fabrication and welding), and trailer systems. An innovative mindset with a passion for practical problem-solving and design excellence. Excellent communication and project management skills.
