Outpatient Nurse Manager – Brand New State-of-the-Art Hospital. Oxford • Full-Time/Permanent - 40 Hours. Salary £52,000 DOE + Competitive Company Benefits. This is a leadership role in opening and delivering services at a brand-new hospital in partnership with Welbeck Health Partners.
About the role
At Welbeck Health Partners, you will provide clinical and managerial leadership for the outpatient service, overseeing day-to-day organisation and management of outpatient consultations, diagnostics and treatment within the outpatient suite, including the phlebotomy service. You will supervise clinical practice, resource management, clinician engagement, safe staffing, and financial management to ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards. You will work with clinicians and senior leadership to drive the strategic direction of the centre and develop outpatient services across multiple specialties.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical and managerial leadership to outpatient nursing services.
* Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care across multiple specialties.
* Lead, develop, and performance-manage a multidisciplinary team.
* Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, training, and appraisals.
* Manage departmental budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
* Maintain compliance with CQC standards, governance, and safety frameworks.
* Drive service improvements through audits, quality assurance, and innovation.
* Act as key liaison with clinicians, patients, families, and stakeholders.
* Support strategic planning, business development, and service expansion.
What you can bring
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
* Right to Work in the UK
* Proven leadership experience in a senior nursing or clinical management role
* Experience working within an outpatient setting
* Experience implementing new services and/or new patient pathways in an outpatient setting is advantageous
* Strong understanding of clinical governance and patient safety
* Experience of CQC inspections and/or readiness
* Strong leadership, influencing, coaching and people development skills
* Excellent organisational skills
* Commercial awareness and potential for business development
