The Opportunity
Join Holcim as a Fixed Plant Fitter, where you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing fixed plant to ensure smooth and safe operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dedicated team, keeping our facilities running efficiently. If you're a current fixed plant fitters or Heavy mobile plant fitters with relevant qualifications, along with a proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills, this is the perfect role for you.
You will be working a 4On 3Off, 4On 3Off, 7On 7Off roster.
On the 4On 3Off shift, working hours are 07:00 to 16:45 onsite. This means you will need to get the 06:30 boat to site and the 16:45 boat offsite (landing at 17:15) as Glensanda is only accesible via a ferry.
On the 7On 7Off, working hours are 07:00 to 19:30 onsite. This means you will need to get the 06:30 boat to site and the 19:30 boat offsite (landing at 20:00). This averages out at 41.38 hour per week.
Who you are
Youre an experienced and motivated Fixed Plant Fitter with a solid background in mechanical maintenance, demonstrating a proactive approach to equipment upkeep and operational efficiency.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical maintenance.
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, plan and implement maintenance schedules, and respond effectively to breakdowns.
* Strong understanding of safe working practices and commitment to following safety protocols.
* Self-motivated, with strong communication and teamworking skills, and a results-driven approach.
* Capable of using digital systems to document maintenance activities and track performance effectively.
* Experience working in minning industry or a quarry is a plus.
