Metalis are currently working alongside a leading manufacturing company based in Rotherham who are looking for a Quality Inspector to join the team!
This position is largely based at the Company site in Rotherham however, the role may include the need to travel occasionally including for training or to visit other sites or venues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Use of hand Micrometres, cmm faro arm. Will need to read manual gauges using verniers measurements down to .01.
To support handling of customer returns ensuring all returns working with the Quality manager to help identify relevant information in a timely manner.
Interact with other departs to support production activities as applicable.
Develop and maintain company inspection reports.
Completed all QA, reports and documentation required by exteranl bodies (Green passports, FAIRs, ISIR, Military body reports, photographic reports etc..)
Work with all internal departments to drive and maintain quality levels, assisst and support investigations into root cause and assist in issue resolution.
Liasing with customers to help resolve querys or communicate information in relation to inspection and reporting.
Assist with the process for dealing with and resolving non conforming product.
Share knowledge and skills with other departments offering help and support where required and helping operators/ other departments with in process inspection and querys.Shifts & Salary:
£30,000 - £32,000 per annum
Monday to Friday (7am - 4pm then 1pm finish on Friday)
12 weeks Temp - PermThe ideal candidate will have:
Technical competence within Engineering, preferably educated to degree level or time served experience of role.
Recognised Quality qualification or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential.
Experience of recognised Quality Systems (AS9100/ISO9000/).
Must be able to apply sound analytical techniques and have good verbal and written communication skills
Able to communicate with people throughout the business both internally and externally.
