About Our Client
Although established 70 years ago, my client is still a small, tight knit business, with an existing footprint across the UK grocery channel. They supply Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods, across both ambient and chilled categories, and are now looking for a National Account Manager as the expand their team to service their continued growth.
Job Description
* Identify opportunities to drive growth, revenue and profits across existing account base
* Be fully responsible for the Aldi account, with other accounts also under your remit
* Utilise existing relationships and business development skills to win new accounts in the UK grocery and discount channel
* Agree JBPs, CPIs and negotiate contracts across your account base
* Work with the National Account Controller to execute agreed sales strategies
* Monitor trends in the market to stay ahead of competition
* Identify and understand the needs and future plans of your accounts
* Analyse sales data and anticipate market trends
* Report back to the business on performance and opportunities
The Successful Applicant
* Prior experience working at national account level within the UK grocery channel
* MUST have prior experience of working with Aldi UK
* Experience of working in food and drink across own label goods is required
* Experience working across additional UK grocers and discounters is a bonus
* Strong negotiation and presentation skills, demonstrable experience in JBPs, CPIs
* Exceptional knowledge of the UK grocery and discount channels
* Strong communication and relationship building skills

* A competitive salary of £58,000 - £60,000
