Are you a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, looking for an opportunity to work within community mental health services? The North Somerset Recovery (Community Mental Health) Team invites applications for a Band 6 position. The successful candidate will work within the Bipolar and Psychosis pathway, developing skills and working as a specialist practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Serve as designated senior supervisor during the position.
- Complete relevant additional training courses as per development needs.
- Conduct complex remote and face‑to‑face assessments, formulations, and clinical interventions including CBT for psychosis.
- Collaborate closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and NMPs to monitor and manage pharmacological interventions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professionally registered as a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
- Band 6 experience (or higher) preferred; newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) may be recruited at Band 5 and progress to Band 6.
- Experience in community mental health, preferably within bipolar or psychosis pathways.
- Commitment to completing an Academic Specialty Year Experience (ASYE) within two years of employment.
