Youth and Safety Ranger Team Leader (on-site)
Starting salary is £29,007 per annum, pro rata (£24,417.36 per annum)
37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Estates & Facilities team supporting young people in an education environment, ensuring their safety and welfare is a priority.
You will have empathy for young people as well as personal presence and the ability to challenge inappropriate behaviour and manage difficult situations. Excellent communication and administrative skills are also essential.
It is desirable you hold a qualification in youth work, or the willingness to work towards one, alongside a first aid qualification or willingness to undertake training within 6 months.
The Youth and Safety Ranger Team Leader will be responsible for the welfare and safety of the college community during the day, including evenings and when necessary, will assist caretakers with security of the buildings. They will be responsible for the supervision of the Youth and Safety Rangers throughout the college.
This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich Campus. However, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
