A satisfying role
An integral part of our Engineeringteam,you’llkeep our services and equipment up and runningall acrossthe site.With an equal focus onthe efficiency of our operations and the safety of your colleagues,you’llhandle everything frommaintenance and contractormanagement to diagnosing faults and analysing plant performance.You’llalsomove us forwardby supporting improvement projects and suggesting ways to improve our performance, equipmentreliabilityand energy use.
What you bring to the mix
A qualified engineer with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline and FMCG orlogisticsexperience, you have all the tools to excel at Sysco:
* abackground inmanufacturingengineering ormaintenance
* experience in operating andmaintainingfire prevention, water, air supply, gas supply,refrigerationand electricity systems
* knowledge of legislative and environmental standards
* strong analytical, problem-solving and teamworkskills
* good IT literacy,including experiencewithCMMS and Excel.
* Complete any Engineering Work Request/Sign back form asrequired, ensuring the correct precautions are followed prior to undertaking maintenance activity, and the correct hygiene standards are met and signed off before handing area/equipment over to production
* Liaise directly with suppliers/equipment vendors for ordering parts and new machinery.
* Involved in induction training for new employees explaining correct care and safe use ofappropriate companyequipment as outlined inSSOWor as directed by Manager
* Being responsible for quality, legality and safety of the food manufactured or stored during/after performing maintenance activities
* Food manufacturing experience working with production machinery in a fast paced manufacturing plant prefereable
