We're recruiting a Senior Application Support Developer to join a technology team responsible for maintaining and supporting a large, business critical application estate that underpins a high volume online retail operation.
This is a true application support role. The focus is on resolving bugs, handling tickets, and delivering small, incremental fixes across multiple applications that support key e commerce journeys, rather than building new features or greenfield systems.
If you enjoy problem solving, working through a Kanban queue, and improving system stability through hands on code changes, this role is likely to be a good fit.
The role
You'll work in a Kanban style environment, picking up tickets raised through 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support and taking them through investigation, fix and resolution. The work is varied and will touch multiple systems that support online ordering and fulfilment processes, including customer facing and back office applications.
Day to day, you'll be debugging and fixing production issues, making small targeted code changes, supporting and maintaining multiple applications, investigating data and reporting issues, working across a mixed and legacy technology estate, and collaborating closely with support teams and other developers...
