Java Developer (SC Cleared) 6 Month Contract Birmingham (Hybrid) £500/day (Outside IR35) Java Developer needed with active SC Security Clearance and Government / Public Sector project experience. 6 Month Rolling Contract in Birmingham (Hybrid). Hybrid Working - 2 days/week working on-site in Birmingham 3 days/week working remotely from home (WFH). Start ASAP in May/June 2025. Developing Java solutions for Microservices, messaging web services distributed systems. Web Services, SOAP, RESTful Docker Containerisation. Supporting live systems and diagnosing incidents. Connecting processes to several systems with message brokers like ActiveMQ. Continuous Integration methodologies -eg- Maven, Jenkins, GIT, SonarQube Stash Repository. Testing frameworks -eg- Mockito, JUnit, JMock, Powermock, DBUnit TestContainers. AWS services including: EC2, RDS, S3, Route53, SQS, DynamoDB, KMS Cloudwatch. Agile development methods: Scrum, BDD, TDD, Kanban. Full Tech Stack: Java 17, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Integration, Spring Batch, Microservices, Quartz, SQL Database (PostgreSQL), JPA (Hibernate), REST, SOAP Web Services, Messaging (ActiveMQ), Maven, Junit, Jenkins, AWS Cloud hosting and its components, Postgres/Aurora, Bootstrap, Docker, TDD, Agile (Scrum), Jaspersoft, Spring extension projects (Data, Cloud, Batch, Security), Angular.
