Job Description:
A privately backed property company with a proven track record of delivering high-performing investments and development-led schemes across London and the South East. Operating with agility and confidence in both residential and mixed-use markets, the business is expanding its acquisition and development pipeline and now seeks a commercially driven individual to join the team in a key consultancy role.
The Role
We are seeking a sharp, ambitious Investment & Development Consultant to support the identification, appraisal, and execution of new acquisition and development opportunities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping to grow the pipeline, shape strategy, and drive value through planning, repositioning, and disposal of assets.
This is an opportunity to work closely with a lean and dynamic senior team on both deal sourcing and asset enhancement—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Source and appraise off-market and on-market property investment and development opportunities
* Prepare detailed financial appraisals, feasibility studies, and cashflows
* Manage due diligence, from initial interest through to completion
* Work with planning consultants, architects, and other advisors to unlock value in development assets
* Monitor market trends, policy shifts, and planning updates across target geographies
* Assist in exit strategy planning – disposal, leasing, or asset management recommendations
* Attend networking events, maintain relationships with agents, introducers, and partners
About You
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in property investment, development, or advisory
* Strong understanding of residential and/or mixed-use development in Greater London and the South East
* Confident in running financial appraisals (ideally proficient in Argus or Excel-based modelling)
* Commercially aware, with strong negotiation and communication skills
* Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative
* RICS qualification (or working towards) is advantageous, but not essential
