Do you want to help a growing charity move from reliance on contracts to sustainable, philanthropic income?
We are looking for a confident and strategic Fundraising and Development Lead to join us during an exciting phase of growth. This is a new part-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, nurturing relationships, and writing compelling funding bids.
About the Disability Resource Centre
We are over 31 years old charity based in Bedfordshire supporting disabled people and carers to live with independence, dignity and inclusion. We are growing fast — with a new digital platform, rebrand, and group structure in development. We are also shifting how we fund our work. This post is critical to that journey.
Your focus will include:
* Leading our fundraising strategy and developing income pipelines
* Writing grants and trust applications (with CEO support)
* Developing individual giving campaigns using LocalGiving, HubSpot and GoHighLevel
* Building relationships with donors, local corporates, and community allies
* Creating supporter journeys and basic CRM systems for donor stewardship
* Providing regular reporting and insight to support board-level decisions
We are looking for someone who is:
* An excellent communicator, able to build trust with funders and donors
* Skilled in fundraising strategy, trust writing, or individual giving
* Digital-literate and comfortable with CRM tools (we use HubSpot + GHL)
* Comfortable working independently in a small, collaborative team
* Passionate about inclusion, equity, and creating a lasting social legacy
What we offer
* Salary: £35,000 FTE (£21,000 actual for 0.6 FTE)
* Hours: 3 days per week
* Contract: 12 months (with potential to extend)
* Flexible working hours and hybrid setup
* Supportive team culture and mission-driven environment
* A chance to shape how a charity grows and thrives in the next 5 years
* Peer support and mentorship for continued professional development
* Employer pension contribution of 3%
* Free on-site parking at our Flitwick office
