As we continue to grow, we’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team!
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you’ll balance operational delivery with structured project management, ensuring both “business as usual” activity and project work are effectively planned, prioritised, and delivered to a high standard. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring confident decision making, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to adapt quickly when priorities shift.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take accountability for operational performance and site standards, including:
Leading daily and weekly operational planning, ensuring workflow is prioritised and resourced effectively
Managing, coaching and developing Team Leaders and Supervisors to deliver consistent performance
Acting as a senior escalation point for operational issues, service risks and site incidents
Monitoring performance and driving improvements across productivity and service quality
Managing facilities activity including repairs, maintenance and refurbishment work
Sourcing and managing quotes/tenders and coordinating contractor activity on site
Managing supplier and contractor relationships, ensuring compliance with site rules and H&S standards
Supporting site security arrangements and maintaining a safe, well-run working environment
Identifying inefficiencies, implementing practical solutions and embedding sustainable change
Leading cross-functional projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring actions, timelines and outcomes are tracked
Providing clear updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, performance and delivery against objectives
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced operational leader with a structured, proactive approach, alongside:
Proven experience in an operations or delivery-focused role within a fast-paced environment
Strong people leadership skills, with experience managing Team Leaders and Supervisors
Confident managing third-party suppliers, contractors and facilities-related activity
Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to adapt quickly when priorities change
Experience delivering projects and improvements across multiple teams and stakeholders
A practical, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and drive accountability
Qualifications
ILM or CMI Level 5 or equivalent
IOSH and/or NEBOSH certification
Lean / Six Sigma and/or Prince2 (desirable)
