White Label is hiring a Design Engineer for an engineering and manufacturing business in Sheffield.
They require a Design Engineer who can see projects through from concept to completion. The role is varied, and you’ll be involved throughout the entire design process.
My client is offering a salary in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience (may be able to go higher for the right candidate).
* 40 hours per week
* Profit share
* 21 days holiday + bank holiday + Christmas shutdown (holidays increase with years of service)
* 5% pension
Responsibilities of the Design Engineer
* Create layout and technical drawings using CAD (Inventor)
* Support internal departments with engineering input
* Produce flow sheets and P&I Diagrams
* Take site measurements (internal and customer sites)
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure component quality
* Manage procurement and quality checks for bought-in components
* Support build-up of new plant installations
* Administer and pack spares contracts and shipments
Experience required of the Design Engineer
* 3 years or more experience in a mechanical design engineering position
* Qualified to HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* 3D CAD experience (ideally Inventor)
* Experience in design of large equipment such as tanks, vessels, structural steelwork, conveyors, cranes, material handling equipment would be advantageous
