Our client is seeking a Senior Purchaser to support business requirements for direct and indirect materials. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for sourcing, supplier management, cost control and supporting commercial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities of a Purchaser:

Source and purchase direct and indirect materials.

Develop purchasing strategies aligned with business needs.

Achieve best-value solutions using a total cost approach.
*
Support global and low-cost sourcing initiatives.
*
Negotiate supplier, service, and utility contracts.
*
Manage internal and supplier-held inventory levels.
*
Support costing for revenue, capital, and expenditure requests.
*
Provide purchasing input to support timely customer quotations.
*
Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities.
*
Represent Purchasing in product and review meetings.
*
Support the Purchasing Manager with projects and initiatives.
*
Manage supplier quality, cost, and delivery performance.
*
Develop and maintain dual-source strategies.
*
Ensure regulatory and reporting submissions are completed on time.
*
Lead supplier reviews and improvement activities.
*
Identify and implement process efficiencies within Purchasing.
