We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Engineering team as an Engineering Maintenance Apprentice. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in the dynamic and fast-paced world of food manufacturing. As an Engineering Maintenance Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and valuable skills that will set the foundation for a successful career in engineering.

Your Responsibilities
* Assist in the maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment.
* Learn and apply preventive maintenance procedures to ensure optimal machinery performance.
* Collaborate with experienced engineers to execute maintenance plans and projects.
* Comply with health and safety regulations and contribute to a safe working environment.
* Undertake training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
* Ensure college-based assignments and technical files are completed within set submission dates.
The first year of your Apprenticeship will be off-site at our training providers' facilities in Blackburn. From Year 2 onwards, you will be based at our Leyland Manufacturing Facility, undertaking one day per week of off-site training.
From Year 2 onwards, you will work a rotating shift pattern:
* Week 1: Mon-Fri 05:45-14:15
* Week 2: Mon-Fri 13:45-22:15
You will work one in four weekends, paid as overtime at x1.5 and x2 rates.
What You Bring
You should be educated to BTEC or equivalent level with GCSEs (Grade 5 [C]) in Maths, English, and a Science-related subject.
In Addition, You Must Be Able To Demonstrate
* A strong interest in engineering and a desire to pursue a career in maintenance.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work.
* Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
