The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Out of Hours Team at Douglas Street, Hamilton.
This role offers a chance to enhance your clinical knowledge and skills and develop your professional career.
The Advanced Practitioners will work autonomously across Primary, Community, and Acute Services during both in and out of hours, covering seven days including public holidays. They will be responsible for clinical decision-making, including assessment and treatment of patients across various settings.
They will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and medical staff, including the OOH Hub and Acute Services, communicating daily about patient care and follow-up needs.
The role involves assessment, clinical care, and management of both stable and acutely unwell patients, making complex autonomous decisions with advanced skills and knowledge. Medical telehealth support will be available as needed.

What you'll need
* Registered Nurse / AHP / Pharmacist with valid NMC/HCPC / GPHC Registration
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
* Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced clinical practice
* Knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards
* Advanced expertise in relevant conditions and policies
* Application of advanced practice skills and clinical judgment
* Leadership and management experience
* Continuous Professional Development in your specialty
* Excellent team-working, leadership, communication, and time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic IT
* A full UK/EU/EEA driving license is essential due to shift patterns
Preferred skills
* Non-medical prescribing qualification
* Experience in primary and community care, medical/surgical environments
* Competencies in assessment and intervention
* Knowledge of infection control
* ILS/ALS certification
Contract details
Permanent, Full-time, 37 hours/week
Location and shifts
Based at Douglas St Clinic with rotational shifts.
