Spire Harpenden Hospital is looking for a Receptionist to join their front of house team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their administrative skills in a fast-paced private healthcare environment.
You will be responsible for providing exemplary service to patients, visitors, and consultants, handling face-to-face, administrative, and telephone tasks efficiently and confidentially.
This is a bank contract, offering flexible shifts that include:
* 06:30-14:30
* 07:30-15:30
* 13:00-21:00
* 12:30-20:30
Duties include:
* Welcoming, registering, and directing patients, consultants, and hospital staff professionally and warmly.
* Admitting surgical patients and providing relevant information.
* Accurately updating patient information on the computer system.
* Managing the hospital switchboard efficiently and professionally.
* Performing clerical duties such as checking bed status reports, issuing visitor badges, and booking taxis.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Customer service experience, either face-to-face or via telephone.
* Excellent verbal and telephone communication skills.
* IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Office.
* Ability to plan work and follow instructions.
* Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
* An understanding of equality and dignity principles at work.
