An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sexual Health Technician in The Rosehill Clinic. The Rosehill Clinic is an Integrated Sexual Health clinic based at St Helier Hospital in Sutton. This is an opportunity to work with a dedicated and passionate team within Epsom and St Helier University NHS Trust that delivers sexual health care to the population of Sutton and beyond as part of the Sutton Health and Care Alliance.

Based in Rosehill clinic, St Helier Hospital
Based at St Helier hospital, The Rosehill Clinic provides integrated sexual health care, HIV services and outreach services for young people. Additionally the service manages the London Borough of Sutton's Chlamydia Screening Programme and condom card scheme.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post of a Sexual Health Technician in Sexual Health is characterised by four principle role functions:
1. Supporting Clinical Practice
2. Independent clinical activity
3. Supporting administration functions as required
4. Participating in mandatory training and education, research, training and development
The balance between clinical practice and administration tasks will vary according to day to day priorities but will be negotiated overall with the charge nurse and service manager.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
5. Previous experience in a healthcare environment, ideally in sexual health services
6. NVQ level 3 in care or equivalent
Desirable criteria
7. English GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above
Experience/ Skills
Essential criteria
8. Previous experience of PAS or other computerised patient management systems
9. Good level of computer skills
10. Experience in Venepuncture and Administering vaccinations or the willingness to undertake this training
Desirable criteria
11. Experience in sexual health setting

12. Good understanding of Equality and Diversity
13. Non judgemental, comfortable discussing sexual matters
