Purcell is looking for a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator to join our Manchester studio. Working closely with our North Leadership team and the wider Work Winning team, the Coordinator will identify opportunities to enable growth and success of the North region across multiple sectors, while supporting our national Public and Places of Worship sector teams.
Reporting to the Head of Work Winning and collaborating with Senior Leadership, this key role offers substantial development opportunities both regionally and nationally.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the Regional Senior team to support and coordinate the development and delivery of the regional business development and marketing strategy.
* Proactively engage with the regional Work Winning team to encourage and support business development activities, promoting the region's activities and project milestones in line with the regional strategy.
* Schedule and manage regular meetings with key regional team members to track business development activities, leads, and marketing opportunities.
* Collaborate with the Regional Leadership team to identify new business opportunities for the North region across core sectors.
* Support the Regional Work Winning teams in identifying key targets, arranging and attending external business development meetings to generate leads.
* Coordinate a strategic programme of P2Ps and ensure research, collateral preparation, and post-meeting intelligence are handled appropriately.
* Assist with planning and support of targeted business development and marketing campaigns that feed into the regional strategy.
* Create a focused networking strategy around key industry events, identifying speaking opportunities and ensuring post-event intel is shared and follow-ups actioned.
* Encourage regional business development activists to attend relevant networking events and build skills for work-winning activities.
* Organise Purcell-hosted events, such as networking, roundtables, and panel events.
* Manage the region’s CRM, generating and sharing leads trackers and activity reports with other regions and teams.
* Manage monthly regional business development meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes focused on sector market intelligence, campaigns, and leads.
* Support Public and Places of Worship sector leads at a national level, including minute-taking for national sector meetings to share intel and opportunities.
* Support Public and Places of Worship Sector Leads in maintaining, developing, and delivering sector strategies and collateral across the practice.
* Champion regional project and people stories for publicity opportunities and social media campaigns, coordinating with the central Marketing & Communications team.
* Create regional marketing collateral using brand templates and collaborate with the central Marketing & Communications team on practice-wide sector collateral.
* Coordinate photography for projects and people, liaising with the OpenAsset Coordinator to upload to the central database with correct copyright information.
* Maintain a regional award planner, identifying relevant awards and coordinating submissions with Project Leads and the central Marketing & Communications team.
* Support thought leadership pieces to celebrate projects and people.
* Write news pieces and press releases ensuring SEO maximization, liaising with client teams as necessary.
* Create and promote social media content, supporting wider regional team members to post and promote existing content as appropriate.
* Create project communication plans, tracking milestones and coordinating client communications, content development, and tours.
* Gather client feedback to ensure high-quality project delivery and build long-term client relationships.
* Ensure collateral and imagery are available for prospective client and collaborator presentations, marketing materials, and bids.
* Share market intelligence and regional activities with wider Regional Business Development & Marketing colleagues.
* Collaborate with the Bid team to share information on leads ahead of bid opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with previous published writing or editorial experience desirable.
* Highly organized, proactive, with strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Attention to detail with an eye for layout, formatting, and brand consistency.
* Ability to work proactively on own initiative, multitask, and prioritize a diverse workload.
* Professional, discreet, and confident when working with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
* Collaborative and adept at working with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
* Knowledge of the architecture/construction industry.
* Understanding of the public sector and procurement processes.
* Experience in marketing and business development.
* Experience with social media and CRM management.
* Experience using Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office.
* Enthusiasm for developing skills and knowledge.
