About the role:
Due to high demand, we are looking for a skilled Mobile Cleaning Operative to join the team and work across multiple sites across theTelfordareas. The successful applicant must have a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and car insurance for business purposes, all other information will be collected upon interview.
Shift Pattern:
This will be a flexible role, which varies between Monday to Friday, this can include evenings and/or mornings. Working hours are 15 hours per week. 30p per mile to be expensed mileage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms.
* Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
* Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
* Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
* Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms.
* Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas.
* Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
* Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
* Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
* Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
* Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.
Requirements:
* Full UK Driving Licence and access to vehicle
* Vehicle with up to date MOT
* Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
* Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
