Endoscopy Nurse – West Midlands
Location: East Sussex – East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 1EB
Contract: Bank, 12 months
Working pattern: Full‑time, Part‑time, Flexible
Salary: £300 per day
Shift availability: Weekday and weekend shifts; ongoing sessions available
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing support in an acute Endoscopy Unit, managing and participating in emergency situations and GI bleeds.
* Assist in therapeutic emergencies; administer IV medication and fluids.
* Identify and elevate deteriorating patients.
* Work independently in unfamiliar environments using initiative.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Minimum 2 years recent experience within an acute Endoscopy Unit.
* Signed off as a competent Endoscopy Nurse.
* Ability to manage and participate in emergency situations, GI bleeds, therapeutic emergencies, and administer IV fluids.
* Identify and elevate deteriorating patient situations.
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Endoscopy based training course.
* Ability to gain IV access.
* Mentorship course.
Requirements
* Current UK professional registration.
* Disclosure and Barring Service check (subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act).
