Senior Management Accountant
Our client is a leading privately owned company delivering high-quality products and services through an extensive network of distribution depots across the UK.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. In this key role, you will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts and building strong collaborative relationships. Your expertise in analysing large data sets and reconciling high transaction volumes will be essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving process improvements for businesses with a multi-million-pound turnover across various sites, handling complex stock holdings and movements effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare monthly management accounts for various business units
2. Reconcile, analyse and interpret large data sets
3. Manage reconciliations of significant stock transactions
4. Resolve any discrepancies across multiple systems and physical sites
5. Conduct in-depth margin analyses and review profit and loss statements
6. Execute full balance sheet reconciliations
7. Assess balance sheet items and make necessary provisions as required
8. Mentor trainee accountants in established accounting processes
9. Support the Financial Controller as needed
10. Collaborate with different departments to communicate financial results and enhance operational efficiencies
Requirements
1. CIMA/ACCA Qualified or qualified by relevant experience
2. Proven track record as a Management Accountant
3. Proficiency in handling and analysing large data sets with strong skills in reconciling high transaction volumes
4. Capability to investigate and resolve stock reconciliation challenges effectively
5. Strong analytical skills
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
