About the role
As Care Team Leader, you will lead the night team to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care for our residents. Working closely with the Deputy Manager, you will oversee the running of the shift, support colleagues and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
14. Leading and coordinating the night shift
15. Supporting and supervising Care Assistants
16. Ensuring residents receive outstanding person-centred care
17. Safe management and administration of medication
18. Reviewing and updating care plans and assessments
19. Monitoring resident wellbeing and responding to changing needs
20. Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
21. Supporting compliance with CQC standards and company policies
22. Promoting safeguarding, health and safety and infection control best practice
23. Working alongside healthcare professionals, families and external agencies when required
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead by example, support your team and make a genuine difference to residents' lives every day.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
24. Experience working within an elderly care setting
25. Experience administering medication
26. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
27. A passion for delivering exceptional care
28. Good understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
29. A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Team Leading qualification, or be working towards one
30. Confidence using care systems and maintaining accurate records
