The Role As Technical Services Manager, youll be the engine that keeps essential systems running smoothly.
Youll lead a skilled team of engineers and operatives, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered to the highest standards.
Youll play a vital role in maintaining compliance, meeting KPIs, and supporting the safety and security of a site that plays a critical role in national defence and innovation.
Your leadership will empower others not only through operational management, but also by nurturing talent, mentoring apprentices, and developing future successors.
Youll bring out the best in your team and help create a positive, high-performance culture where people are valued and encouraged to grow.
Youll act as the technical focal point for the site advising the client, managing remedial works, reviewing inspection reports, and ensuring all health and safety documentation is robust and compliant.
Youll take ownership of billable works up to £25k, oversee CAFM maintenance scheduling, and ensure asset updates are accurately recorded.
This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where youll build strong relationships with DSTL stakeholders, colleagues, and trusted supply chain partners.

What Youll Bring You dont need to tick every box.
If you have a technical HVAC qualification (heating, ventilation, or air conditioning), are confident managing contractors and compliance, and are eager to develop, wed like to hear from you.
Youll be reliable, self-motivated, and an effective communicator.
Holding or working towards SMSTS and SC Clearance would be advantageous, and experience within an MOD environment would be beneficial.
It is essential that you are computer literate, comfortable working with data and different CAFM systems, and prepared for an administration-heavy, office-based role.
