Assistant Farm Manager – Poultry Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) Accommodation available Full-time, Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable and motivated individual to step into the role of Assistant Farm Manager on a well-established poultry unit. About the Role Working closely with the Farm Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring bird welfare, egg quality and site standards are maintained at all times. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities and will involve covering for the Farm Manager when required. Key Responsibilities * Maintain high standards of bird welfare, biosecurity and hygiene * Monitor flock performance, egg production, and site records * Assist with audits and compliance with relevant legislation and assurance schemes * Support and lead team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently * Take an active role in site health and safety and maintenance * Respond to unit alarms and contribute to the site’s emergency protocols What We’re Looking For * Previous experience in poultry or livestock farming is desirable, though training can be provided * A strong interest in animal welfare and willingness to follow procedures * Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset * Self-motivated, organised and capable of taking the lead when needed * Supervisory or people management experience is an advantage * Basic written and spoken English What’s on Offer * Competitive salary between £30,000 and £40,000, depending on experience * On-site accommodation provided * Full training and ongoing development * Long-term progression potential for the right candidate This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from the outset.
