Job Summary
An opportunity has become available to join Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust as a static Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Acute Therapies team. This role supports acute medical admissions into the Acute Medical Unit and works across respiratory, cardiac, elderly care, general medicine, and surgery. Occupational Therapists collaborate closely with physiotherapy colleagues, the wider multidisciplinary team, and community partners to ensure a seamless inpatient experience.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for assessment, treatment planning, and intervention delivery for patients referred to their caseload. They will supervise junior staff, technicians, assistants, and students as appropriate, participate in the development and monitoring of service standards, assist in the day‑to‑day running of the service, and take part in the weekend working rota.
