Join our friendly and dedicated team as a phlebotomist. We are looking for someone who has completed a recognised Venepuncture course and can provide 20-25 hours a week. As we provide extended access to services this will include include some weekday shifts up to 20:15 and some Saturdays from 09:00 to 17:00 on a rota.
You should have at least 6 months experience of working in the role as a Phlebotomist or as part of another healthcare role.

Main duties of the job
As a Phlebotomist within our Team, you will carry out high quality venepuncture to support patient care across our sites. Your duties will include taking blood samples in line with clinical guidelines, correctly labelling and preparing specimens, ensuring timely dispatch to laboratories, and accurately recording all procedures. You will help put patients at ease, report any concerns to clinical staff, and work closely with the wider team to maintain safe, clean, and professional clinical environments.

Job responsibilities
The postholder will carry out venepuncture to obtain blood samples in line with clinical guidelines and internal referrals. Key duties include preparing patients and ensuring their comfort, collecting and accurately labelling specimens, storing and dispatching samples appropriately, and recording all procedures in patient records. The role also involves checking patient identity, reporting anomalies or concerns to senior staff, supporting the clinical team, and maintaining safe, clean, and compliant clinical environments.
