Job Description:
We are seeking a HR People Advisor to support the UK Infrastructure Funding Service (UKIFS). For more information on UKIFS, visit: UKIFS Candidate Recruitment Pack
The salary for this role is £48,376, with onsite working expected for 3 days each week. We support flexible working arrangements.
Employees can be based at either of our sites: West Burton, Nottinghamshire or Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires completion of an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including DBS checks and possibly open source data searches.
The Role
As HR People Advisor, you will work closely with the Head of People to develop and deliver the People Plan for UKIFS, supporting business growth, driving the people agenda, and supporting matrixed employees across large programmes.
You will lead people projects related to change management, organisational design, EDI initiatives, talent management, early careers, and leadership development. You will collaborate with managers to ensure effective team leadership and performance management.
You will also work with the People Department to build management capability, talent initiatives, succession planning, and oversee day-to-day HR activities such as employee relations, onboarding, exit management, recruitment, and policy queries.
Key Responsibilities include:
* People Planning & Strategy: Developing and implementing the annual People Plan, benchmarking HR practices, and delivering innovative HR projects.
* Employee Relations & Policy Development: Managing employee relations cases, advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, and updating HR policies.
* Talent & Leadership Development: Supporting talent initiatives, leadership capabilities, and early careers programs.
* Employee Engagement & Wellbeing: Leading engagement surveys, developing wellbeing programs, and facilitating feedback sessions.
* Operational HR Excellence: Managing HR operations, providing analytics, and ensuring legal and policy compliance.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Degree in HRM or related field, or equivalent experience
* CIPD Level 5 or higher
* Experience as an HR Advisor or Junior HRBP
* Experience managing employee relations, policies, and HR projects
* Proficiency in HR analytics and UK employment law
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong organizational skills and recruitment experience
Desirable:
* Experience in civil service or regulated environments
* Project management skills
* HAY job evaluation or career architecture experience
