Early Years Teacher – Primary School in Sefton (ASAP Start)
A weing and well‑supported primary school in Sefton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who ismitted to giving young children the strongest possible start in their learning journey.
Role Responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver and assess engaging EYFS lessons aligned with the Early Years Framework.
2. Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports children’s emotional, social and academic development.
3. Use play‑based learning approaches to build early literacy, numeracy andmunication skills.
4. Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO and parents to support the needs of all pupils.
5. Maintain high standards of safeguarding, classroom management and record‑keeping.
Qualifications Needed
6. Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) is required to teach in nursery or early years settings.
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required if teaching within a school’s Reception class.
8. GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (grade 4/C or above) are required for early years teacher training routes.
Experience Needed
9. Experience working with Early Years children in a school, nursery or early childhood setting.
10. Experience supporting children with additional needs/SEN is desirable.
11. Ability to build strong relationships with children, staff and families.
