Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
* Diagnose faults using specialised tools and equipment
* Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups
* Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and maintenance
* Keep detailed records of work carried out on each vehicle
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
* Assist in ordering parts and managing workshop inventory as required
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role is desirable
* Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive engineering or mechanics are advantageous
* A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
