Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
What is the role? We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to lead a team of support workers within one of our lovely extra care services in Prescot.
More about the service: Working with housing associations and local authorities, we provide care and support in purpose-built accommodation for older people, offering a home-from-home environment with support on-hand when needed. The supported individuals have access to facilities, services, and activities aimed at maintaining a great quality of life and improving health and wellbeing, including:
* 24-hour support
* Housing-related support
* Personal care, including medication support
* Meals – assisted or prepared
* Leisure and recreation activities
* Domestic help
* Support to build or maintain community links
* Support to maintain relationships with family and friends
Our Extra Care Services are centrally located with easy access to shops, supermarkets, and transport.
What do we need from you?
With experience in health or social care, you will have an upbeat, positive manner and a genuine passion for supporting people. You must have experience leading a team in an extra care service and working with individuals who require intensive support planning and management. You should be comfortable with basic IT systems, with training available. You must hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., Nurse, Social Worker, Care Management Level 3) or be willing to work towards it.
