About The Role
MJD Stems are looking for a proactive and personable IT Support Apprentice to join their growing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and help them keep their IT systems running smoothly. You’ll troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues—from hardware and software to cloud services—via our service desk located at Nether Dallachy and on-site visits across Scotland. As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), our work is fast-paced and varied. You’ll receive full training on our internal systems (including ConnectWise PSA) and work closely with our senior engineers to deliver outstanding service.
Job Overview
Salary: £22,200 per annum
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Responsibilities
* First-line support: Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 and 2 tickets for desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices running Windows 11, macOS, and Microsoft 365
* Administer Microsoft Entra / Azure AD: Manage users, groups, and access permissions; support login and MFA issues
* Customer service: Provide friendly, professional support via phone, email, and on-site; communicate solutions clearly
* On-site visits: Travel to client offices across Scotland to resolve issues or assist with projects
* Ticketing & documentation: Use ConnectWise PSA to log issues, track progress, and document resolutions; prioritise and escalate to meet SLAs
* System monitoring: Use tools like Ninja One RMM to monitor systems, patch devices, check backups, and ensure security
* Project support: Assist with IT projects including client onboarding, Office 365 migrations, network installations, and cybersecurity enhancements
* Knowledge sharing: Contribute to the internal knowledge base and help improve processes
