Your duties will include
Proactively network with new and existing clients to promote and sell our conference and event facilities.
Actively drive event sales by engaging with potential and existing clients, including following up on warm leads from previous enquiries and past bookings.
Organising and supporting the sales team so that they are knowledgeable about the hotel and offer excellent customer service at every point of communication.
Manage incoming enquires, from conversion through to a seamless transition to our operations team on the day of the event.
Attend external meetings with clients to showcase our event spaces and services, providing feedback and insights to the Head of Sales.
Identify and act upon opportunities to maximise revenue and encourage repeat business through proactive and reactive sales strategies.
Research and identify new business opportunities, including target companies and clients, and conduct sales calls and meetings to secure bookings.
Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and forge new client connections.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in sales, ideally within the hospitality or events industry.
A solid understanding of hotel operations and event management.
A driven and ambitious mindset, with a strong focus on delivering results.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a keen understanding of sales and business strategy
The successful candidate will be experienced in hotel sales and have supervisory experience. They will approach tasks with a can-do attitude, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues alike. This is a fast-paced environment and experience in Microsoft office and hotel software such as opera cloud will be advantageous.
