Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and possess a strong understanding of landscape maintenance, horticulture, and gardening practices. This role involves performing various tasks related to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and healthy.
Duties
* Carry out landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and planting.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to maintain gardens and landscapes.
* Operate machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects.
* Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants.
* Assist in the construction of landscape features such as patios, pathways, and retaining walls.
* Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues or areas needing attention.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
* Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular servicing.
Requirements
* Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to operate various landscaping machinery safely.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to landscaping tasks.
* Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance is advantageous.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Good physical fitness as the role requires manual labour including lifting and carrying materials.
* A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
