Area Sales Manager - Woodwork & Cutting Tools
Area to be covered: South West & South Wales
Remuneration: £45,000 + 20% - 35% uncapped bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid company car & Benefits Package
Responsibilities
* Field sales based role, promoting a manufactured range of woodwork & cutting tools including router cutters, routing jigs and router accessories
* Selling to power tool retailers, independent retailers, independent distributors, buying groups, DIY retailers, builders merchants and hardware stores
* Responsible for circa 80 accounts
* Account management / development: approximately 95% account management and 5% new customer prospecting
* Maintain current turnover of £1.4m and develop new accounts (builders merchants are a growth area)
* Work in an established area, the position available due to a retirement
* Ensure clients are well presented in retail stores / stockists
* Attend trade shows, events held at dealer premises, and visit end-user sites
* Supported by a team of sales merchandisers
Ideal candidate / Qualifications
* 12 months+ track record in field sales
* Open to branch sales experience, looking for first field sales role
* Sold related products such as power tools, woodwork tools, cutting tools, tools, fixings, fastenings, construction consumables
* Relevant experience with customers in power tool retailers, independent retailers, independent distributors, buying groups, DIY retailers, builders merchants and hardware stores
* Excellent communication, presentation and demonstration skills
* Analytical thinker / approach
* Ability to hit the ground running; capable of working independently (full product training will be provided)
* Ability to acquire product knowledge and health & safety information efficiently
* Hands-on, practical and professional approach
* Excellent organizational / territory planning skills
