Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Community Adaptations
Location: South West of England, Bath and North East Somerset
Department: Community Services
Rate: Up to £33 per hour
An exciting role has become available at the Bath and North East Somerset Council for an Occupational Therapist to assess and address the needs of adults in the community, providing equipment and adaptations to enhance their independence and quality of life.
What will your responsibilities be?
* Conduct thorough assessments for adults needing equipment and adaptations.
* Develop and execute individualized treatment plans.
* Recommend and facilitate the provision of equipment and adaptations.
* Offer advice and information to service users and their families.
* Collaborate with agencies such as Housing, NHS, and voluntary organizations to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Ensure adaptations meet assessed needs and provide necessary equipment.
* Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy equipment.
* Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain a professional portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
* Experience in paediatric occupational therapy.
* Strong assessment and treatment planning skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
